When the time is tracked on the work, invoicing it is a matter of rates and an export. This is part of the Studio plan.
Set the rates
Rates are set per project, in the project's Settings:
- A project rate: the hourly rate for everyone on the project.
- Rates per role: a different rate for each role, like Designer or Developer, on that project. Someone's role is set on their page under Team.
Notulous uses the rate of the person's role on the project, and the project rate when their role has none.
Billable time
Time on a project that bills is billable, unless it's marked as not billable when it's logged, like an internal meeting or a fix you don't charge for. The reports show the hours and the billable hours side by side.
Check the hours
Time › Reports groups the time by client, project, person, issue or day, over the period you invoice, with the billable hours and the amount per line.
Export them
Admins export the billable hours of a period, for a client, a project or a person, as a CSV file. Each line has the date, the client, the project, the issue and its title, the person, the description, the hours, the rate and the amount, and the last line has the totals. Open it in a spreadsheet, or import it into your invoicing or accounting software.
Notulous doesn't send the invoices itself: it gives your invoicing software the hours, the rates and the amounts.
Before you invoice, see time tracking per client.
